Youth Golf Academy (Intermediate and Advanced)


This 6-week Youth Golf Academy elite program offers a unique opportunity for intermediate and advancing golfers, who qualify to attend based on requirements, wanting to develop their love of the game.  The Youth Golf Academy is based on COACHING and TRAINING the student over a period of time that provides for play strategy, serious practice with assigned skills development challenges, sport fitness, competition rules and protocol, PCA concepts, golf skills development and more.  Participants will be mailed a letter inviting them into either th Intermediate or Advanced Academy based on a mixture of tournament experience, interest, dedication, scoring ability and other factors.*


Requirements (*will change to more of a qualifying-based event beginning Fall 2018):

*Participated in a Drive, Chip & Putt local qualifier (if in town or at another site)

*Participated in The Landings Club Youth Club Championship

*Participated in an Advanced Youth Summer Camp session at The Landings Club

*Active participant in at least half of The Landings Club Youth Spring or Fall Saturday Youth Golf League

*Participated with The Landings Club PGA Junior League


Agenda/Class Goals:

*Course play with specific classwork assignments and strategy work

*Tournament preparation (US Kids Golf, PGA Jr League, Drive-Chip-Putt, Local and regional events)

*Optional video analysis and launch monitor with yardages, especially wedges

*Specific drills and personal achievement challenges

*This class will meet every other Friday with assigned tasks in-between sessions

*Pelz Challenges... The student with the largest improvement earns points towards a program-end reward

*Data Tracking - stat analysis, Will Robins course/practice scorecards

Location:  Deer Creek BACK range

Cost:  $180 (six one-hour sessions plus a make-up)

Class Size:  Minimum 4 and 8 Maximum at advertised price

Open to:  Landings Club Golf Members ages 17 and younger who qualify based on requirements


Make-UpA student can miss one session (must be committed to the other 5) and attend the Make-Up session scheduled to follow the last day of class.  *STUDENTS MUST CONTACT CHRIS OR ERIK BY THE WEDNESDAY PRIOR TO CLASS IF HE/SHE WILL BE MISSING A CLASS for event planning and stafing needs.  One of our goals at this level is to encourage a youngster's responsibility with commitments and obligations, like signing up for a tournament or not being late for a tee time (or appointment in life).

Class Policies:  The class fee will not be charged upon cancellation prior to the 3 day deadline before class begins. On the (first) day of the class, refunds will be available for emergency medical reasons only. Refunds will not be available to participants who voluntarily leave the class, forget to attend, excused for disciplinary reasons or opt to withdraw from the class due to weather if the event is still being held and has not been rescheduled. Every efforts will be made to fill the spot with a wait-listed student, in which case the original class cost will be refunded to the participant who withdrew.
